We’re very excited to have opened our new Warehouse Retail Space in Wellington! We’ve been working hard to ready a space where people can stop by to touch and try on our wonderful silk garments.
To mark the occasion, we officially opened our doors at 17 Haining St, Te Aro for the first time on Saturday 1st December. We had a fantastic turn out from a number of our long-term Silk Status customers as well as members of the public who all enjoyed a glass of French bubbly and spot prizes.

On the day, our visitors enjoyed the opportunity to see the styles and try on the full variety of clothing and take home their favourites. There were some surprise purchases where people discovered items that they had overlooked when browsing online.
Our very first customer through the door, Moire, bought a Cellular Pilot Top for her hiking adventures over the summer and her trip to Antarctica in May.
Moire says she loves the nicely fitting hood with side slots for sunglasses. “I had not previously realised the science behind the development of the Silkbody fabrics and am thrilled to discover this high-performance wear”.

A Silk Living newbie, Diana, came along with her sister Jan, a long time Silkbody supporter. Diana was the lucky winner of one of our gorgeous Silkspun Headwarmers in her colour choice of Atlantic.
“I’m amazed at how warm this is – it’s better than my usual scarf and it isn’t bulky”, said Diana. “I’ll be trying some of the other ways to wear her new Headwarmer after seeing the video online”.

We would love to see you anytime from Tuesday to Friday, between 10:00am and 3:00pm, where you can browse through the racks and try on our beautiful range of silk garments.
We will take a short break over Christmas from 24 December to 4 January 2019. Online shopping will, of course, still be available but all purchases made during the break will be shipped on our return to work in the new year.
We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful response since taking on Silk Living, and thank you for your ongoing support.
